Testimony

What do they say about the Lentera Anak Foundation?

Rasul

Pembaharu Muda 3.0, Malang, East Java

"Participating in the activities of the Pembaharu Muda 3.0 in Bogor was an activity that was very memorable for me. The program is very interesting because we are not only equipped with advocacy skills but we also learn to collaborate with other friends. I am more confident, more courageous in expressing my opinion".

Misran Lubis

Acting Executive Director of JARAK Indonesia

"It is an honor for me personally, for the people of Indonesia, for the children, and of course for those who have received services from Lentera Anak itself. Not many institutions have been able to exist up to this point in the midst of increasing challenges for civil society, and this is an extraordinary achievement from Lentera Anak, of course teamwork and support from the whole community".

Hamid Patilima

Expert Team for Child Friendly Regencies/City Development

"10 years for an institution like the Lentera Anak Foundation is a very long time, which continues to consistently fight to ensure that children are protected from the effects of smoking".

Safeguarding

To disseminate the zero tolerance policy for the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) to all Lentera Anak staff and related staff and ensure that the roles, responsibilities and expected standards of behavior related to EPSS are known within Lentera Anak. To create and maintain a safe environment, free from PSEA, by taking appropriate steps for this purpose, internally and within the communities where Lentera Anak operates, through strong prevention and response efforts.

Anti-Fraud

Lentera Anak Foundation is an independent organization that aims to support the establishment of a Child-Friendly Democracy State. Because of that, Lentera Anak performs its role in good and correct ways and is full of awareness and responsibility.

With this, as a manifestation of responsibility to God, oneself, society, and partners, all parties both institutionally and individually, coaches, supervisors, administrators, staff, and volunteers as well as Lentera Anak partners commit themselves to the values and the Code of Ethics.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI)

We founded our organization on a bold premise–that all children and youth everywhere, from any background of identity or circumstances, should be protected, have their rights fulfilled, and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

We developed a Child and Youth Protection Policy that guarantees the implementation of 4 Principles of Child Protection: Non-discrimination, The best interest of the child, The right to live life, and Respecting the opinions of children and young people. As such, we require every staff and partner to treat children and young people with respect regardless of race, color, gender, language, political choice or other opinions, nationality, ethnic origin, social status, disability, or another status. We build a culture where everyone should be aware of the various situations and vulnerabilities that exist in children and young people, and empower them in discussing their rights and what they can do in response to threats/potential violence.

This policy builds our framework on diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies. So we could achieve progressive outcomes by promoting talent diversity, equal opportunities, and inclusive culture.

Accountability
